Yamaha GT Mini Trail Model Boundaries
Yamaha introduced the compact GT50 in 1972 as a 49 cc air-cooled two-stroke on/off-road model, and the separate GT80 followed as its own Mini Trail model for 1973. PartsNMore’s current active inventory is GT80-led, while GT50 remains part of the family structure for archived and future availability. GT80MX and GTMX should be retained as complete catalog designations rather than treated as universal synonyms.
This collection is limited to Yamaha’s small GT Mini Trail family. Yamaha GTS1000 and GTS1000A sport-tourers are different motorcycles, and Suzuki also used GT for an unrelated road-bike family. A shared pair of letters does not establish fitment across brands or Yamaha platforms.
