A Focused Yamaha Sport-Single Family
Yamaha introduced the SRX600 in 1985 as a distinctive big-single sport motorcycle. Its original specification paired a 608cc air-cooled four-stroke SOHC four-valve single-cylinder engine with a lightweight, slim and compact chassis. Yamaha itself contrasted the SRX600’s modern sport-bike character with the more traditional SR500. The shared single-cylinder layout therefore does not make SR and SRX parts interchangeable.
PartsNMore’s current catalog is led by parts listed for the 1987 SRX250, with additional coverage for the SRX600 and the 1986 SRX600S designation. Yamaha’s archives also document other SRX250 generations, the Japan-market SRX250F and the separate SRX400. A shared SRX badge is not enough to establish fitment: displacement, model code, market specification and model year all matter.
