TX650, TX500 and TX750 Are Different Motorcycles
The Yamaha TX badge covers three distinct four-stroke twin-cylinder platforms in this PartsNMore collection. Yamaha describes the TX500 as its first production motorcycle with a DOHC engine, using an inline twin with four valves per cylinder. The TX750 was Yamaha’s first 750cc road sport model and used a separate inline-twin design with a balancer, dry-sump lubrication and opposed-piston front brake calipers. Yamaha’s history identifies the TX650 with the traditional vertical-twin engine that later continued into the XS650 line.
Those shared letters do not establish parts interchange. TX500, TX650 and TX750 engine, carburetor, chassis and service components must be selected by the complete model and year. Even when a lever, seal, switch or brake component appears in more than one model listing, fitment applies only to that specific cross-listed product.
