About the Honda ST1100 Pan European
Plan V4 Pan European maintenance by model, brake equipment and repair.
The ST1100 Pan European pairs Honda’s 1,085 cc V4 with shaft final drive in a long-distance touring motorcycle. This family collection brings together standard ST1100, ST1100A ABS and ST1100P police applications. Use the complete model to plan intake, engine-sealing, brake or hydraulic-clutch work.
Standard and ABS brakes need different year checks
The front pads linked here cover standard ST1100 1991–2002 and ST1100A 1992–1995. The 1996 range includes a version with combined braking, ABS and traction control, so a general ST1100 badge match cannot identify every chassis part. For the ABS motorcycle, the ST1100A parts guide separates early front pads, later fork seals and clutch-slave repair kits.

Standard ST1100
Air filter, engine and clutch service
The linked air filter covers 1990–2002, engine gasket set 1990–1996 and clutch master-cylinder kit 1991–1997. Plan each item against its own range and the components fitted.
ST1100A ABS
Check the brake and fork equipment
The linked front pads cover A-model 1992–1995. Later ABS brake applications need their own match; the A-model guide includes 1996–1999 fork seals.
ST1100P police
Confirm the police-model application
Keep the P suffix and market when identifying parts. Compare the fitted brake, fork and electrical equipment instead of extending standard or civilian ABS coverage to the police model.
Identify your vehicle before orderingST1100 frame, engine and equipment checks
- Confirm the full model designation, model year and market from the identification records.
- For the 1996 manual’s layout, find the frame number on the right of the steering head and the engine number at the back of the lower crankcase, behind the oil pan.
- Record the ABS or combined-brake equipment and compare the fitted calipers and pad shapes.
- For clutch hydraulics, distinguish the handlebar master cylinder from the engine-mounted slave cylinder. Record markings and dimensions for any replacement unit.
