About the Honda ST1100A Pan European ABS
ABS-specific Pan European repair choices for brakes, forks and the hydraulic clutch.
The ST1100A adds ABS equipment to Honda’s V4 Pan European touring platform. The 1996 range includes combined braking, ABS and traction control. Identify the year and fitted brake system before choosing chassis service parts, particularly on a motorcycle with a replacement front end.
Early front pads and later fork seals are separate applications
The front pads below cover ST1100A 1992–1995. The fork oil seals cover 1996–1999 and measure 43 × 54 × 11 mm. Neither range establishes the other part’s fitment. For hydraulic-clutch work, also distinguish the handlebar master cylinder from the engine-mounted slave cylinder: the kit featured here repairs the slave.

1992–1995 front brake pads
Earlier ABS caliper application
Match the pad outline and retaining hardware with the fitted caliper. Later ABS or combined-brake equipment needs its own confirmed pad listing.
1996–1999 fork oil seals
43 × 54 × 11 mm dimensions
Compare the old seal’s inside diameter, outside diameter, height and profile. These seals are listed for the A-model application, not the standard ST1100 fork.
1992–1997 clutch slave kit
Identify the cylinder being repaired
The linked kit covers the engine-mounted slave cylinder. A handlebar master-cylinder repair requires a separate kit matched to that cylinder.
Identify your vehicle before orderingST1100A identification and ABS equipment checklist
- Record the full ST1100A designation, model year and market from the identification records.
- Photograph the brake caliper, pad outline and relevant ABS or combined-brake equipment for a brake-parts enquiry.
- Measure the removed fork seal and identify replacement forks independently of the frame year.
- For clutch hydraulics, identify master or slave cylinder and compare the fitted unit with the repair-kit listing. Record frame and engine markings if the bike has been rebuilt.
