From an XR70 search to the right XR70R repair
Compare the model, the repair location and the part’s own application before ordering.
XR70 is often the starting name used when looking for a small Honda trail bike’s parts. The products highlighted here use the complete XR70R application. Honda’s model history identifies the XR70R as the predecessor to the CRF70F; that relationship is useful for identification, but it does not make every part interchangeable.
Plan the repair around the faulty assembly. A float-bowl gasket seals the bowl joint, a fuel tap controls flow from the tank, an individual clutch plate belongs in a particular stack position, and rear brake shoes must match the rear hub. On a modified minibike, identify the replacement engine, carburetor and wheels independently.

- Record the full factory model code and year. A side-panel decal or engine-capacity label is not enough for a modified bike.
- List which assemblies remain original: engine, carburetor, tank/tap and rear hub. Match a replacement assembly on its own identity.
- Describe the repair location precisely before choosing a part: bowl joint, tank tap, clutch stack or rear drum.
