About the Kawasaki VN900
Two different sealing jobs on the Vulcan 900.
Kawasaki uses the Vulcan 900 name for VN900-family motorcycles, including the VN900B Classic. The parts highlighted here concentrate on fork oil seals and the rear reservoir-cap diaphragm. Keep the complete model designation and year visible, particularly for the diaphragm’s separate VN900LT application.
Locate the seal before choosing the repair part
An oil-seal repair starts with the fitted fork and complete seal dimensions. A reservoir-cap repair starts with the rear cap and diaphragm profile. Fluid escaping at another brake joint or a fault inside the master cylinder calls for a different component check; the cap diaphragm does not renew the internal piston seals.
Model and component referenceVN900 application differences
Fork oil seals
The featured set lists VN900 2006–2011 and 41 × 54 × 11 mm.
Rear reservoir diaphragm
The linked diaphragm lists VN900 and VN900LT 2006–2013.
Later or changed assemblies
A longer diaphragm application does not extend the fork-seal range.
Check before orderingIdentify your VN900 and fitted parts
- Confirm the complete VN900 designation and model year.
- Measure all three fork-seal dimensions against the original seal and fitted fork.
- Compare the rear reservoir cap shape and diaphragm profile; distinguish it from the front reservoir.
