About the Suzuki GSF1200
Find the correct Bandit 1200 application before choosing carburetor or engine parts.
Suzuki’s original GSF1200 combined an oil-cooled four-cylinder engine with upright road-bike styling. The half-faired GSF1200S followed as a distinct version. Later liquid-cooled Bandit 1250 models are a separate engine family, so the Bandit name alone is too broad for service parts.
Compare GSF1200 and GSF1200S applications
This family page brings the Bandit choices together: a GSF1200S carburetor kit for 1997–2000 and a GSF1200 kit for 2001–2006. The engine gasket set and oil filter list unsuffixed GSF1200 applications, while the fork seals list GSF1200S. Use the S-model collection link for a more focused selection.

Frame, engine and component markingsSuzuki GSF1200 identification
Use the complete frame/model identification and the correct market documentation. Identify a replacement engine, carburetor or front end separately from the frame.
- Record the full frame/model designation, including S or any other suffix.
- Read carburetor markings and compare the kit contents before ordering for a replacement bank.
- Match engine gasket openings and fork-seal dimensions to the fitted assemblies.
A shared model prefix or similar appearance does not establish the model year or parts fitment.
