About the Suzuki VL800
Oil, fork and steering service without combining different VL800 year ranges.
Suzuki’s 2002 brochure identifies the VL800 as the Intruder Volusia, with a liquid-cooled V-twin engine and shaft drive. Keep VL800 and any full suffix with your parts search, even when using the Volusia name. This selection focuses on oil-service, fork and steering components with different year applications.
Plan the oil service and front-end maintenance
An oil-filter order begins with the engine and filter reference. A fork repair needs separate checks for the oil seals, external dust seals and sliding surfaces; steering work needs the fitted bearings and races identified. For any fuel-system repair, confirm the actual carburetor or injection equipment before choosing components by a broad cruiser name.

Use the complete model, year and fitted assembly. Each product has its own application and package contents.
Oil-filter range
The featured filter lists VL800 2001–2004. Confirm other years separately instead of using the broader fork application.
Fork oil seals versus dust seals
The featured oil seals list 2001–2006. The separate dust-seal listing covers 2001–2002; one range does not establish the other.
Suffix and fuel-system checks
Keep VL800, VL800T and VL800Z applications distinct. A carburetor rebuild kit requires the matching carburetor and cannot service fuel injection.
