About the Yamaha DT175
Engine, clutch and chassis parts for Yamaha DT175 trail-bike repairs.
The DT175 is part of Yamaha’s small two-stroke trail-bike range. Bringing an older example back into use often means addressing several separate systems: engine sealing, carburetor fuel control, clutch wear and suspension leaks. The selected parts below give each job its own application check.
A float-valve repair is separate from engine resealing
The 1977–1979 float needle and seat control fuel entering the carburetor bowl. The 1974–1976 engine gasket set instead services the specified engine joints. Fork seals cover 1979–1981 and the clutch plate 1976–1977. Check those dates alongside the parts you remove rather than treating a DT175 rebuild as one shared range.

Early engine applications
The selected 1974–1976 gasket set and 1976–1977 clutch plate overlap only in 1976. One matching engine part does not verify the other.
Later fork and fuel parts
The fork seals cover 1979–1981, while the float needle and seat cover 1977–1979. Keep the carburetor identity with the fuel-part selection.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingDT175 identification checklist
Use the motorcycle’s identification and the fitted component together. A registration year or family name can leave important application details unresolved.
- Confirm the model year and full DT175 market designation.
- Identify the engine and suspension equipment if the bike has been assembled from donor parts.
- Read the carburetor markings and compare the float-valve design before ordering fuel parts.
