About the Yamaha YZ80
Fork seals, engine gaskets and early fuel taps for the correct YZ80 assembly.
The YZ80 spans several generations of Yamaha motocross bikes. On a used race bike, a replacement fork, engine, tank or control can change the required service part. Record the frame year and identify the assembly being repaired before choosing from the collection.
Use the 1993 fork split for suspension parts
Fork seals split at 1993: one listing covers 1983–1992 and another 1993–2001. The engine gasket set linked below covers 1985–1992. Early fuel taps use their own 1974–1979 and 1980–1985 ranges, so a fork-year match cannot establish the correct engine or fuel-system part.

Use the complete model, year and fitted assembly. Each product has its own application and package contents.
1983–1992 fork seals
The earlier featured seal listing covers these years. The engine gasket set shown below begins later, in 1985.
1993–2001 fork seals
A different seal listing starts in 1993. Identify the fitted fork if the motorcycle has been modified.
Fuel-tap year ranges
The two fuel-tap listings shown here split 1974–1979 from 1980–1985. Neither range should be extended using a later brake or fork application.
Identify your model before orderingYamaha YZ80 identification checklist
Use the identification on your machine and the component being repaired.
- Record the model year and separate frame, engine and fork identities where components have been changed.
- For a leaking fork, compare the original seal markings and the fitted fork dimensions.
- For fuel-tap work, compare the tank mounting, outlet direction and original tap.
