About the Honda TRX250TE Recon ES
Carburetor kits and brake shoes for Honda’s electric-shift Recon ES.
The TRX250TE is the Recon ES, Honda’s compact utility ATV with a 229 cc four-stroke engine and push-button electric shifting. The TE designation distinguishes its electric-shift application from the foot-shift Recon. That distinction is especially useful when identifying controls or asking about a replacement electrical component.
Separate fuel-system work from front and rear brake service
The carburetor kit linked below covers TRX250TE 2002–2012. The linked brake shoes cover 2002–2005, with different products for the front and rear drums. Plan each job from its own application, compare the fitted components and check package quantities before ordering for more than one brake.

Retain the electric-shift designation
Use TE when selecting the model and recording component details. A foot-shift Recon listing needs a separate TE application before it confirms an ES part.
2002–2012 carburetor-kit application
Identify the fitted carburetor
Match its body markings and compare the kit’s supplied components. A replacement carburetor may require different service parts from the original unit.
2002–2005 brake-shoe applications
Order front and rear separately
The linked front and rear shoes share these years but serve different drums. Compare shoe profile, pivot and cam ends with the brake being serviced.
