About the Honda VFR700F2 Interceptor
Carburetor float valves, front pistons, oil filters and the 1987 F2 relay.
The VFR700F2 sits within Honda’s V-four Interceptor family. Its complete F2 designation is useful when ordering brake and fuel-system parts: several products share selected F applications, while others have different year limits. Keep the fitted carburetor and caliper details with the motorcycle’s model information.
Fuel-level control and fuel-pump control are separate repairs
The float needle and seat meter fuel into the carburetor bowl and list F2 1986–1987. The fuel-cut relay is an electrical control component with a 1987 F2 entry. Front caliper pistons and the spin-on oil filter provide separate brake and routine-service routes for 1986–1987.
Model and application differencesCompare your VFR700F2 repair options
| Model or repair | What to check |
|---|---|
| F2 1986–1987 service components | The featured float needle and seat, front caliper piston and chrome spin-on oil filter list both years for F2. |
| 1987 fuel-cut relay | The selected relay carries a 1987 F2 application. A shared-looking connector does not prove that it is right for the 1986 model. |
| Keep F-only fork coverage separate | The fork-seal example on the VFR700F page is not being presented as F2 fitment. Use a confirmed F2 fork application for that repair. |
Frame, engine and component markingsHonda VFR700F2 Interceptor identification
Use the complete frame/model identification and the correct market documentation. Identify a replacement engine, carburetor or front end separately from the frame.
- Confirm the F2 suffix and exact model year from identification records.
- For fuel faults, identify the carburetor float valve, fuel pump and relay as separate components.
- For brake work, compare the front piston dimensions and the actual caliper; do not order by engine capacity alone.
A shared model prefix or similar appearance does not establish the model year or parts fitment.
