About the Kawasaki KZ900 family
Find the right starting point for a standard, LTD or police restoration.
The KZ900 brought Kawasaki’s 903cc four-cylinder, double-overhead-cam engine to its 1976 road range. Today, the KZ900 name covers several different parts searches: the A-series standard, B-series LTD and C2 police application. Choosing the complete model helps separate shared engine service items from brakes, carburetors and electrical equipment with narrower applications.
Which KZ900 are you working on?
KZ900A standard parts cover 1976–1977 applications; KZ900B LTD parts focus on 1976. The KZ900C2 police collection has a smaller selection for engine sealing, piston work and front master cylinder service. Start there if you are restoring a police motorcycle or a civilian conversion.

The suffix is the first useful distinction. These examples show why a family name alone is not enough to choose every service part.
