About the Suzuki VS750

Parts for the 747 cc Intruder, with the model suffix kept in view.

The VS750 Intruder arrived in 1985 with a 747 cc liquid-cooled V-twin and shaft final drive. Different market and trim versions share the Intruder name, as do later 800 cc motorcycles with a different engine specification. The frame label and engine identity provide a better starting point than badges or bodywork.

Rear carburetor, engine gaskets or clutch?

A rear-carburetor kit services one position. Engine gaskets address specific joints, and a water-pump mechanical seal addresses a different sealing surface. For clutch work, the GLP plate below needs a GLP match; a similar-looking GL motorcycle is not enough.

Use the GL page for a narrower selection. Its rear-carburetor kit and later fork-seal application still have separate year limits.

The friction plate lists GLP 1988–1991. That listing does not establish a GL or GLF clutch application.

750 versus 800

Engine capacity and complete model identification take priority over the Intruder name. Do not extend a VS750 gasket or carburetor listing to a VS800.

Use the complete VS750 designation, including GL, GLF or GLP, plus the model year. Carburetor position and the dimensions or markings of the fitted component can also determine the part.
Does the VS750 rear-carb kit rebuild both carburetors?
No. It services the rear carburetor and covers VS750 1986–1987 and VS750GL 1985–1991. Front-carburetor service parts need a separate confirmed match.
Will a VS750GLP clutch plate fit a VS750GL?
The plate below covers VS750GLP 1988–1991. GL fitment has not been confirmed. Compare the old plate and clutch identification before substituting parts between suffixes.
Can I use these parts on an 800 Intruder?
The VS750 and later 800 cc Intruders have different engine specifications. Use an explicit fitment for your complete 800 model and year rather than transferring a VS750 part on the strength of the Intruder name.
