About the Honda XL75
Service the small Honda trail bike by system: engine, clutch, carburetor, forks and drums.
The XL75 is a small four-stroke Honda trail bike with a manual clutch. Honda’s workshop manual separates the 1977–1979 XL75 from the later XL80S, even though they share a service publication. Keep that distinction when working from a combined manual or a product that names several small Hondas.
Inspect the clutch before ordering only springs
Honda’s service procedure checks clutch adjustment, friction-disc condition and spring wear separately. A clutch that slips or drags needs those checks before an order is built around one component. The XL75 plate and spring kit below list 1977–1979; the individual plate and the spring kit are separate purchases. Fork seals and drum shoes address different chassis jobs on the same restoration.

1977–1979 XL75 service range
The engine gasket set, brake shoes, clutch plate, springs and carburetor float linked here name these years.
XL75 versus XR75 or XL80S
Shared parts and combined manuals require an explicit XL75 application. Another small Honda’s year range does not establish the same engine or chassis fitment.
Clutch adjustment, plates and springs
Inspect the operating adjustment and components separately. A spring kit supplies a different repair need from an individual clutch plate.
