About the Suzuki GR650 Tempter
Service parts for Suzuki’s distinctive GR650 parallel twin.
Suzuki introduced the GR650 in 1983 with an air-cooled DOHC parallel-twin engine and a variable-mass flywheel system. Its engine layout distinguishes it from Suzuki’s four-cylinder GS models. Use GR650 identification when planning carburetor work, engine resealing or rear-brake service.
Build a separate list for each assembly
The featured carburetor kit lists GR650 1983; the gasket set and rear shoes list 1983–1985. Check the carburetor markings and the kit’s supplied pieces before ordering, then compare the engine joints or rear drum components involved in the other jobs.

1983 carburetor kit
The featured kit records one GR650 year. Its application does not extend automatically to the later years recorded by the engine gasket set.
1983–1985 engine gasket set
Use the dedicated GR650 application and compare the supplied gaskets with the joints being opened. Shared carburetor components do not establish engine gasket interchange.
Rear drum-brake shoes
The featured shoes are for the rear drum. Front disc pads are a separate component with a separate fitment check.
