The early Yamaha XT125 is a four-stroke trail motorcycle. Later XT125R and XT125X models share the XT125 name, but the repair parts featured here are divided by full model code and year.

Early XT125 versus XT125R and XT125X

For an early XT125, the selected float needle and seat lists 1982–1984, while the fork seals and rear brake shoes list 1982–1983. For an XT125R or XT125X, the linked carburetor kit lists 2005–2008. This split is particularly useful when a search returns early and later fuel-system parts together.

Will the XT125R/X carb kit fit a 1982 XT125?
The featured kit lists XT125R and XT125X 2005–2008. It does not list the early XT125. For early fuel-level repairs, the separate float needle and seat lists XT125 1982–1984.
What does the early XT125 float needle and seat replace?
It replaces the float-valve assembly that controls fuel entering the carburetor bowl. The selected part lists XT125 1982–1984. Bowl gaskets, jets and other rebuild pieces must be chosen separately if needed.
Which fork seals are listed for a 1982 or 1983 XT125?
