About the Kawasaki KDX250
Early front-drum and later disc-brake applications, with different fork-seal sizes.
KDX250 fork and brake selection starts with the year and fitted front end. The early applications use front drum shoes; the later group has separate front and rear disc-pad listings.
Choose the early or later repair group
Use the comparison table for 1980–1984 and 1991–1994 applications. These are separate coverage ranges. Retain an SR suffix where present, and identify any replacement fork or brake assembly before selecting its parts.

Measure the fitted fork
The early seal application is 38 × 50 × 10.5 mm. For the later 43 mm application, compare the full dimensions and profile of the linked seal with the removed part. Tube size alone is only one measurement.
Identify brake position and model suffix
A front drum takes shoes; a disc caliper takes pads. On the later bike, compare front and rear pad shapes independently. Keep KDX250SR separate wherever the model record or product application includes SR.
