About the Honda CB600F Hornet and 599

Carburetor, spark and rear-brake service have different application boundaries.

Honda Motorcycle Logo

The CB600F is known as the Hornet and Honda 599. Honda’s 2006 599 specification identifies a 599cc liquid-cooled inline four under the CB600F model code. Keeping that code in your search helps separate this motorcycle from Honda’s other 600cc models.

The fuel-system examples here are carburetor parts. A bowl gasket seals the bowl joint, while a rebuild kit supplies its stated service pieces for a wider repair. These carburetor applications must not be carried over to a fuel-injected motorcycle simply because it shares the Hornet name.

Check the ignition and rear brake independently

The featured ignition coil and rear master-cylinder kit each list CB600F 2004–2006. That shared range does not make them general solutions to rough running or poor braking. Identify the fault and fitted assembly, then compare the correct electrical component or hydraulic repair kit.

Carburetor service

1998–2006 listed coverage

The selected rebuild kit and float-bowl gasket list CB600F 1998–2006. Check the contents of each package.

Parts checkpoint: Carburetor components require a matching carburetor application.

Ignition repairs

2004–2006 coil application

The featured coil lists CB600F 2004–2006. Compare the mounting, connections and electrical specification with the fitted system.

Parts checkpoint: Check the wiring and related ignition components before replacement.

Rear hydraulics

2004–2006 master-cylinder kit

The selected kit repairs the rear master cylinder. It is a different component from the rear caliper or front master cylinder.

Parts checkpoint: Identify the master cylinder and inspect its condition first.

Identify your motorcycle before orderingHonda CB600F identification checklist

  1. Record CB600F, the model year and the market designation from the motorcycle’s documentation.
  2. Confirm whether the fitted fuel system is carbureted before comparing the carburetor products on this page.
  3. For the ignition coil or rear master-cylinder kit, compare the original assembly, connections and the specific 2004–2006 application.

Honda CB600F parts questions

Do these carburetor kits fit every Honda Hornet?
No. The featured kit lists CB600F 1998–2006 carburetor applications. It does not establish fitment for fuel-injected Hornets or other motorcycles using the Hornet name.
Is a float-bowl gasket the same as a carburetor rebuild kit?
No. The bowl gasket seals the bowl-to-body joint. A rebuild kit is a package of its stated service parts. Check the source of the leak and the kit’s actual contents before choosing either.
Does the featured CB600F ignition coil cover 1998–2006?
The selected coil lists CB600F 2004–2006. The broader 1998–2006 range belongs to the featured carburetor kit and bowl gasket, not this ignition coil.
Can the CB600F rear master-cylinder kit rebuild the rear caliper?
No. It is a rear master-cylinder repair kit with a 2004–2006 CB600F application. The caliper is a separate hydraulic component and requires its own repair parts.
