About the Honda CL350 Scrambler
Identify the Scrambler revision before building a fuel-system, fork or engine order.
Honda’s U.S. CL350 identification guide describes a 325 cc OHC parallel twin with CV carburetors and a five-speed transmission across K0–K5. The Scrambler’s high exhaust is a useful visual clue, but the frame and engine markings are stronger evidence when paint, seats or running gear have changed.
Why an early or late fork matters
The two featured oil-seal sets share a 33 mm inside diameter but have different outside diameters and heights: 33 × 44 × 8.9 mm for the listed 1968–1971 applications, and 33 × 46 × 11 mm for the listed 1972–1973 examples. Measure the complete removed seal, not only the fork tube. Keep the carb and gasket ranges separate from the fork range.
Identification and parts selectionCL350K0–K5 identification: Honda’s U.S. guide
| Model or assembly | Identifying detail | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| K0; sold 1968–1969 | Frame CL350-1000001 onward; engine CL350E-1000001 onward. | Early model; a 1969 sale date does not automatically identify K1. |
| K1; sold 1969 | Frame CL350-1033994 onward; engine CL350E-1045165 onward. | Frame and engine starting numbers differ. Record both. |
| K2 / K3; sold 1970 / 1971 | K2 starts CL350-2000001; K3 starts CL350-3000001. | Compare the matching engine identifier and installed fork. |
| K4 / K5; sold 1972–1973 / 1973 | K4 starts CL350-4000001; K5 starts CL350-5000001. | Overlapping 1973 sales dates make the revision useful for restoration parts. |
Starting frame identifiers are reference points, not complete serial ranges. PartsNMore groups these service applications under CL350K. Imported bikes and donor assemblies need their own identification.

Identify your motorcycle before orderingCL350 identification checklist
For a project bike, record what is fitted before deciding which parts to order together.
- Motorcycle: CL350 designation, year, frame and engine markings, and any known donor assemblies.
- Fuel system: Carburetor markings and photos of the installed bodies and bowls.
- Front end: Fork identification and old oil-seal dimensions.
- Rear brake and clutch: Hub and shoe profile, or plate type, dimensions and required quantity.
