About the Honda VF700
Find the right starting point for a Magna, Interceptor or Sabre repair.
The VF700 name covers three distinct motorcycles in this catalog: VF700C Magna, VF700F Interceptor and VF700S Sabre. Each has its own collection so you can move from the family name to the parts relevant to your bike. For a brake or suspension repair, start with that full model designation; for clutch work, also keep the engine identification with your parts record.
Choose the model, then build the repair order
Rear brakes show why the suffix matters. The Magna and Sabre examples below use rear shoe listings, while the Interceptor example is a rear master-cylinder rebuild kit. Magna rear shoes also change between the 1984 and 1985–1987 applications. Some clutch hydraulic parts span all three models, but that shared application does not carry over to every clutch plate, brake or fork seal.
Know your model before choosing partsVF700 repair checkpoints
VF700C Magna
Start with the Magna year
The rear shoes linked below separate 1984 from 1985–1987. The 1984 fork oil-seal example also has a narrower C-model application than some other fork products.
VF700F Interceptor
Identify the brake assembly
The featured VF700F rear master-cylinder kit lists 1984–1985. It services a hydraulic rear brake component; it is a different repair from replacing Magna or Sabre drum shoes.
VF700S Sabre
Keep Sabre applications together
The selected rear shoes and fork oil seals include VF700S 1984–1985. Confirm the S-model line even when a product also lists a Magna or another Honda.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingVF700 identification checklist
Keep these details with your parts order, especially when the engine or chassis equipment has been replaced.
Model identity
Record VF700C, VF700F or VF700S; “VF700” alone is incomplete for many repairs.
Year and market
Use model-year information and the motorcycle’s own identification, not first registration alone.
Engine identity
Keep the engine markings with the frame record; a replacement engine needs its own parts comparison.
Fitted assembly
For brakes and forks, record the assembly, position, markings and dimensions before ordering.
