About the Suzuki PE175
The PE175 fork-seal change is a useful starting point for identifying the right chassis parts.
The featured PE175 fork-seal listings distinguish 1978–1981 applications from 1982–1984. The early set is listed as 36 × 48 × 8/9.5 mm and the later set as 38 × 50 × 10.5 mm. These different sizes make it especially useful to inspect the forks on a restored or modified motorcycle before ordering.
Carry the year check through to brakes and clutch
The front drum-brake shoes below list 1982–1984, whereas the individual clutch plate lists 1980–1984. Neither range should be copied to the other job. Identify the front hub and the clutch plate being replaced independently of the fork application.

1978–1981 and 1982–1984 fork seals
The early and later products have different inside and outside diameters as well as different height profiles. Use all dimensions and the product application; do not select either set from PE175 alone.
Clutch plate quantity and front-brake position
The clutch example is an individual plate for 1980–1984. The brake example is a front shoe set for 1982–1984. Confirm the clutch quantity and front hub before adding parts to the same repair order.

- Identify the exact PE175 year and record any fork or front-wheel replacement.
- Read the removed fork seal’s dimensions and compare the full profile with the appropriate early or later listing.
