About the Honda CB750A Hondamatic
Plan the Hondamatic engine repair and select the correct front-cylinder kit.
The CB750A combines a SOHC four-cylinder engine with a torque converter and two rider-selected forward ranges. Its wet-sump lubrication and transmission arrangement distinguish it from a conventional five-speed CB750K or CB750F.
Define the engine work before choosing gaskets
The top-end set is described for upper-engine service; the engine set is the broader resealing option. Both explicitly list CB750A 1976–1978. Neither application by itself confirms every torque-converter or transmission seal, so keep those components separate on the repair list.
