About the Honda CL175K
Honda CL175K Scrambler parts for carburetor, fork and clutch repairs.
Early CL175K0 and later CL175K models need more than a registration year to identify. Honda’s U.S. guide shows the K0’s inclined cylinders and the later K3’s upright arrangement, with overlapping sales dates around 1969. Compare the full frame and engine identifiers and both carburetor markings before ordering fuel-system parts.
A float replacement and a carburetor rebuild are different orders
The selected rebuild kit lists 1969–1971. A separate float-and-pin listing covers 1969–1973 and gives Honda reference 16013-116-700, providing a specific float-service choice for the later products. That float coverage does not extend the kit. Fork oil seals form another independent choice: the listed pair is 31 × 43 × 10 mm.
Model and year comparisonCL175K identification and component choices
| Model or repair | Application or identifier | Before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Early U.S. CL175K0 | Inclined cylinders; Honda product code 236 | Check the K0 frame/engine identifiers against the guide when paperwork says 1969. |
| Later U.S. CL175K3 / K4 / K5 | K3 product code 307; K4/K5 code 316 | Use the complete identifiers; product codes alone do not identify fitted carburetors. |
| Carburetor kit | 1969–1971 | Confirm carburetor marking, jets and counted kit contents. |
| Float and pin | 1969–1973; Honda 16013-116-700 | Sold individually. Match the float and hinge; this is not a rebuild kit. |
| Fork oil-seal pair | 1968–1973; 31 × 43 × 10 mm | Two oil seals. Check any replacement fork independently. |

Prepare for the repairCL175K identification checklist
Use these checks when a registration year or a model badge does not identify the fitted parts.
- CL175 frame marking and confirmed model year.
- Engine marking, including any known donor engine.
- Carburetor body identification on both units.
- Fork assembly and the complete old-seal size.
