About the Honda CR250M
Plan an Elsinore fork, clutch, ignition or drum-brake repair with the actual year coverage.
The early CR250M Elsinore was Honda’s production two-stroke motocross racer. Its air-cooled two-stroke identity remains central to an early M restoration, although surviving race bikes may have changed forks, wheels, controls or ignition parts.
Use the repair table to build the order
Oil seals, dust seals, friction plates and steel plates have different year entries. The guide keeps those boundaries visible and adds a condenser, clutch lever and separate 1976 front/rear shoe choices. Use each product’s stated year and wheel position when building the order.

| Part type | Listed CR250M years | Supplied form and purpose |
|---|---|---|
| CR250M fork oil-seal pair | 1973–1976 | Two oil seals; 35 × 48 × 10.5/11 mm. |
| 1975–1976 CR250M dust seal | 1975–1976 | Individual dust seal; external dirt protection. |
| CR250M clutch friction plate | 1973–1976 | Individual friction plate for the clutch stack. |
| CR250M steel clutch plate | 1973, 1975–1976 | Individual plain steel plate. The listed application does not include 1974. |
For a 1974 steel-plate or an earlier dust-seal enquiry, send the fitted assembly details rather than extending another component’s years.
Frame, engine and fitted componentsHonda CR250M identification checklist
Use the complete identifiers and the correct model-year documentation. Check the engine and chassis separately when parts have been exchanged.
- Frame and engine: Copy both complete stampings and confirm the model year with the appropriate market documentation.
- Fork assembly: Compare the fitted fork and old oil-seal dimensions. Check the dust-seal profile separately.
- Clutch pack: Identify the clutch assembly and distinguish friction plates from steel plates. Confirm the required quantity from the correct service information.
- Brake position: For a shoe listing, confirm the wheel position and the actual drum assembly. A listed rear shoe does not establish front fitment.
