About the Honda CRF50F

Carburetor, drum-brake and automatic-clutch service for the small Honda trail bike.

The Honda CRF50F combines an air-cooled four-stroke engine with a three-speed gearbox and automatic clutch. Its simple riding controls still rely on distinct service parts inside the carburetor, brakes and clutch.

For a bike returning from storage, locate fuel leaks before choosing parts. A leak at the tap, a leaking bowl joint and fuel escaping through the carburetor overflow need different checks. For brake work, establish the wheel position and inspect the shoes, springs and drum together.

Plan a 2004–2005 repair or a later carburetor job

The linked front and rear brake shoes and clutch plate cover 2004–2005. The carburetor kit covers 2004–2012 and the float covers 2004–2008. Fuel-petcock coverage extends to 2023, with its own mounting and component checks.
