About the Honda GB500
Carburetor and front-brake service for Honda’s GB500 Tourist Trophy single.
The Honda GB500 Tourist Trophy, also identified as GB500TT, pairs an air-cooled four-stroke single with styling inspired by 1960s British road-racing motorcycles. Honda announced it in Japan in 1985; the repair parts featured here use separate GB500 1989–1990 applications.
Locate the fault before choosing the service part
A carburetor float, caliper seal kit and reservoir diaphragm repair three different assemblies. Check the float and fuel valve for fuel-level trouble. For a brake-fluid leak, identify whether it comes from the caliper or reservoir before selecting seals or a diaphragm.

Model history and market years
The Japanese GB500TT introduction predates the featured 1989–1990 parts applications. Use the product’s listed years for ordering.
Caliper versus reservoir
Caliper seals work at the brake caliper. A reservoir diaphragm is under the master-cylinder reservoir cover; it is not a caliper or master-cylinder piston repair kit.
Carburetor float versus valve
The float controls fuel level through the float valve. Replacing one does not establish that the other is serviceable or included.
Identify your model before orderingHonda GB500 identification checklist
Use the identification on your machine and the component being repaired.
- Read GB500, year and market identification; record replacement engine markings separately.
- Identify the carburetor and compare the original float construction.
- Record front-caliper and master-cylinder details before selecting brake seals or a reservoir diaphragm.
