About the Honda VT1100C2 Shadow ACE and Sabre
The C2 designation covers both ACE and Sabre applications. Their shared model code makes the year especially useful when choosing parts.
Two identities under VT1100C2
Use 1995–1999 for the Shadow ACE and 2000–2007 for the Shadow Sabre in this collection. A product labelled C2 may cover one generation, both, or only part of a generation.
Fork service shows why the distinction matters
The featured ACE dust seal lists 1995–1998, while the Sabre dust seal lists 2000–2002. The featured cap O-rings stop at 1999. These boundaries belong to the individual products; they are not evidence of a universal ACE-to-Sabre fork change.

1995–1999
Shadow ACE
Use the ACE year with the full C2 designation. Keep the separately listed VT1100D2 variant distinct.
2000–2007
Shadow Sabre
Later Sabre years remain in this collection, but a product ending at 2001 or 2002 does not extend to 2007.
Motorcycle and component detailsConfirm your C2 before ordering
- Full designation: Read the frame label; ACE styling alone does not separate C2 from D2.
- Model year: Use the model year on the motorcycle’s records, not its first registration date alone.
- Fitted components: Record carburetor markings, fork details or rear caliper shape for an uncertain match.
