About the Honda XL350R
Plan an XL350R refresh with separate routes to brake friction parts, fork seals and opened engine joints.
The XL350R has its own parts applications within the wider XL350 family. Its standard and sintered front pad options serve the same front brake position, while clutch and alternator cover gaskets seal different engine joints. Keeping the R designation in the repair list helps distinguish these components from the earlier XL350 parts, even where product names look similar.
Brake, suspension, clutch and drive parts for the R model
For the 1984–1985 examples below, the fork oil seal set measures 39 × 52 × 11 mm and the steel clutch plate is sold individually. Identify which cover the repair will open, compare the removed plate with its replacement and confirm the quantity needed. Drive work has a separate 14-tooth front sprocket option. Any engine, fork or wheel conversion needs to be identified before using the original frame model to select its service parts.
