About the Honda XR100R
Fuel-system, engine and brake parts for Honda’s single-shock 100.
The XR100R combines a compact air-cooled four-stroke single with a manual clutch and five-speed gearbox. Its single-shock chassis separates it from the earlier twin-shock XR100. Carburetor swaps and replacement engines are worth identifying before a rebuild because they can change which service parts are needed.
Choose the parts for the job
For a carburetor overhaul, use the body markings and the pieces being replaced. For an oil leak, identify the joint before buying a gasket set. Rear brake shoes and steel clutch plates have wider year coverage than the carb kit, but each still belongs to its own assembly.
Model and year comparisonXR100R parts differences
Early engine gasket application
The early set fits XR100R 1985–1991. Its shared XR100 application does not extend it to every later XR100R.
Later engine gasket application
The later set fits XR100R 1993–2003. Confirm the engine identity and required gasket shapes before opening it.
Carburetor replacements
The carb kit fits 1985–2000. A larger or aftermarket carburetor needs its own parts identification.
Prepare for the repairIdentify your XR100R components
- Record the frame model, year and engine stamping.
- Confirm that the engine is the expected XR100R unit or identify its donor model.
- Read the carburetor body markings and compare the float bowl and jet arrangement.
- Compare rear shoe shape and fork seal markings with the parts removed.
