About the Honda XR50R
Service the original XR50R carefully, and identify modifications before ordering stock-application parts.
Honda introduced the XR50R as a 2000 model for young off-road riders. Its four-stroke engine, automatic centrifugal clutch and three-speed transmission make it mechanically different from a larger XR with a hand-operated clutch.
Many used XR50Rs have changed carburetors or engines. A stock-model application only establishes fitment for the specified original arrangement. Before rebuilding a modified bike, identify the actual carburetor, clutch and wheel hubs rather than relying on the frame’s XR50R label alone.
