About the Suzuki GS700E
Carburetor, brake, fork and clutch choices for Suzuki’s unfaired 1985 GS700E.
The unfaired GS700E uses Suzuki’s 699 cc DOHC four-cylinder engine. Its original induction system has four Mikuni BS32SS constant-velocity carburetors. Dual front discs and a single rear disc create separate brake-pad applications, so a carburetor-bank service and a brake overhaul each require more than a simple model-year match.
Plan the quantities before dismantling
For carburetor work, compare the kit contents with the seals and service parts you need across the bank. For the front end, the featured fork seal package contains two seals. Clutch plates are individual items: identify the required plate types and stack quantities in the model’s service information so the order matches the work.

The front and rear pads are different listings. The featured fork seals measure 37 × 50 × 11 mm and come as a pair; clutch plates are sold individually.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingGS700E identification checklist
- Read the full model designation and model year from the motorcycle’s identification records. Keep GS700E distinct from GS700ES.
- Check carburetor body markings and compare the old float valve, seals and gaskets with the kit information.
- Identify the wheel being serviced before choosing brake pads; compare backing-plate shape and retaining features.
- Measure fork seals by inside diameter, outside diameter and height. Confirm clutch plate type and quantity separately.
