About the Yamaha FJ1200A
Intake, hydraulic clutch, lever and carburetor service parts with explicit FJ1200A applications.
The FJ1200A combines Yamaha’s 1188 cc air-cooled DOHC inline-four with ABS. For parts selection, keep that full model designation attached to the year: a shared FJ1200 family name does not establish the application of an individual brake or fuel-system component. The repair examples here focus on specific A-model listings for 1992–1993.
Keep brake controls and hydraulic clutch work distinct
A replacement brake lever must match the fitted master-cylinder assembly, including the pivot and contact surfaces. A clutch slave-cylinder kit services a separate hydraulic actuator. For intake or carburetor work, compare the holder mounting faces and fitted carburetor bank as well as the product’s A-model year range.

1992–1993 FJ1200A
Intake, clutch hydraulics and lever
These three featured applications explicitly include both years. Compare the installed assemblies, mounting details and package contents for the component being serviced.
1993 FJ1200A
Carburetor kit application
The later carburetor kit has a specific 1993 A-model line. Its wider standard FJ1200 coverage does not extend that A-model range.
Identify your motorcycle before orderingFJ1200A identification checklist
- Confirm FJ1200A, the model year and the ABS equipment from identification records and the motorcycle itself.
- Read the A-model application for each product; do not use standard FJ1200 years as a substitute.
- Match carburetor identification, intake holder mountings and the existing components before selecting service parts.
- For a brake lever, compare pivot dimensions and the master-cylinder contact geometry with the installed assembly.
