About the Honda CBX1050
Carburetor, engine-sealing and chassis service parts for the six-cylinder Honda CBX.
The Honda CBX combined a 1,047 cc six-cylinder engine with 24 valves. Its 1981 move toward touring brought a fairing, luggage and Pro-Link rear suspension, along with a front-fork increase from 35 mm to 39 mm. Those changes make the early/later distinction useful throughout a restoration.
1979–80 and 1981–82: separate the service applications
Carburetor kits and front master-cylinder kits divide into these two year groups, while the fork-seal dimensions change with the fitted fork. The cylinder-head and cylinder-base gasket examples cover 1979–80. Start with the year group, then identify the specific assembly or gasket joint being repaired.

Check carburetors, forks and front brake
Record carburetor markings, fork tube diameter and master-cylinder identification. Compare the installed assemblies with the correct early or later listing, particularly on a modified CBX.
Separate gasket joints and clutch plates
The cylinder-head gasket and cylinder-base gasket seal different engine joints. For the clutch, record plate order and compare profiles and dimensions; two listings with the same years do not establish the same stack position.
