About the Honda CL100S
Fuel valves, carburetor service parts and overhaul gaskets for the S branch of Honda’s small Scrambler family.
A CL100S restoration starts with the small Honda Scrambler’s complete identity. The S designation separates its applications from CL100K, even when a carburetor or fuel tap looks familiar. On a motorcycle with a replacement tank, engine or carburetor, the fitted assembly gives you the second piece of information needed to choose a part.
Choose the fuel-system part that does the job
A petcock manages fuel leaving the tank; a float needle and seat control fuel entering the carburetor bowl. The float operates that valve as the fuel level changes. Replacing one does not repair wear or damage in the others. The CL100S also has a useful ordering split: the linked needle-and-seat and petcock cover 1971–1973, while the linked carb kit begins at 1972.

Individual fuel parts are available
The linked needle-and-seat and petcock, plus the float on the CL100 family page, list 1971–1973 CL100S.
Parts checkpoint: The linked carb kit and overhaul gasket set do not confirm 1971 fitment.
1972–1973 CL100S
Carb kits and overhaul gaskets
The carb kit and overhaul set below explicitly list these S-model years. Compare their supplied pieces with the installed carburetor and engine.
Parts checkpoint: A CL100K-only gasket application should not be extended to the S model.

Frame, engine & fitted componentsHonda CL100S identification checklist
Use these details to match your motorcycle and any replacement assemblies before ordering.
- Record the model information and complete frame number. Confirm the S designation from the motorcycle’s records rather than a replacement side cover.
- Read the carburetor markings and compare the bowl, jets and float-valve fittings before selecting a kit.
- Check the tank’s petcock mounting and fuel outlet direction. A changed tank may need a different valve from the original application.
- Record the engine number and any known replacement engine or electrical conversion before ordering gaskets, seals or electrical parts.
