About the Honda CR80R
Choose CR80R gaskets, fork seals and brake shoes with the right year and dimensions.
Honda’s CR80R is a small-capacity motocross motorcycle whose engine and chassis service parts changed across successive versions. Older race bikes may also have replacement suspension, wheels or engines. A useful repair list records both the original model year and the identity of any changed assembly.
Fork-seal size is the key comparison
The 1982–1983 CR80R fork seals below measure 31 × 43 × 10 mm; the 1996–2002 seals measure 37 × 50 × 11 mm. Those measurements are inside diameter, outside diameter and height. Compare all three dimensions and the seal profile. Engine gaskets and brake shoes follow their own applications, so a fork-seal year range cannot identify the rest of the bike’s service parts.

Check each wheel independently
Front shoes below cover 1983–1985; rear shoes cover 1982–1991. Record front or rear before comparing the old shoe shape, hub and attachment points.
1986–1991 engine gaskets
Plan around the engine being opened
The linked gasket set covers these CR80R engines. Compare its supplied contents with your repair list, including any separate seals needed for the work.
1996–2002 fork oil seals
Match the later fork dimensions
The linked 37 × 50 × 11 mm seals cover these R-model forks. If an earlier frame carries a replacement front end, identify that fork before choosing its seals.
Identify your vehicle before orderingIdentify a CR80R before ordering service parts
- Confirm the model year from the bike’s identification records, rather than replacement plastics or graphics.
- Record frame and engine markings so a replacement engine can be identified separately.
- Measure fork-seal inside diameter, outside diameter and height; compare the lip profile as well.
- For brake parts, note front or rear, drum or disc, and the shape and attachment points of the original friction material.
