Honda’s CRF230F is an air-cooled, carbureted four-stroke trail motorcycle. Honda’s model specifications identify a 223cc single-cylinder engine and a front disc with a rear drum brake. Those details distinguish its maintenance needs from the CRF230L dual-sport and from other CRF engine sizes.

Rebuild the fuel tap or replace the whole petcock?

A leaking fuel tap can require either repair of the existing assembly or replacement of the complete unit, depending on its condition and design. The rivet-style repair kit covers CRF230F 2003–2017. The complete petcock has a separate 2003–2019 application. Compare the mounting and tap construction before choosing between them; the rebuild kit does not supply a complete tap.

Should I buy a fuel-tap repair kit or a complete CRF230F petcock?
Choose the repair kit only for the matching rivet-style tap when its condition makes rebuilding appropriate. The kit covers CRF230F 2003–2017; a complete petcock is a separate 2003–2019 product. Compare tap construction, tank mounting and outlet direction before ordering.
Are the front brake pads suitable for the CRF230F rear brake?
No. The CRF230F has a front disc and a rear drum. The pad set lists front-disc applications for 2003–2016; rear drum service requires the correct drum-brake parts.
Is the front master-cylinder kit confirmed for a 2010 CRF230F?
The kit lists 2003–2009 and 2012–2017. It does not establish a 2010 or 2011 application. Identify the fitted cylinder and confirm the correct repair kit for those years.
Does the early CRF230F clutch plate listing provide a full clutch set?
