About the Honda CX650C Custom

Honda presented the 1983 CX650C Custom as a shaft-driven cruiser with a 674 cc liquid-cooled V-twin. Its period brochure specifies a front disc, rear drum and twin rear shocks. Those details give a useful starting point for identification, but the fitted components still deserve inspection on a motorcycle that may have been modified over time.

Oil seals, dust seals and top-end gaskets

A fork oil seal retains oil; the outer dust seal helps keep contamination away from the sliding surface.
