The QA50 range addresses three fuel-system locations. The carburetor rebuild kit is for work within the listed carburetor; the fuel-cap seal closes the cap joint; the petcock gasket seals the fuel-tap assembly. Choosing the correct location is the first step, followed by the part’s exact year application.

The year gap matters on a restoration. Neither the cap seal nor the petcock gasket listing confirms 1972, even though they name years on both sides. The 1974 kit likewise should not be extended to every QA50. If the tank, tap or carburetor has been replaced, compare that fitted assembly separately.
