About the Honda ST1300A ABS
ABS-model service parts selected by the component and its own year range.
The ST1300A combines Honda’s V4 touring platform with ABS. For a maintenance order, the A designation matters even when the motorcycle is simply described as a Pan European. The collection includes mechanical clutch parts and electrical controls, which serve different jobs despite sharing the clutch name.
Clutch plates, lever switches and ignition coils
Clutch plates transmit power through the clutch stack. The clutch-lever switch reports lever position to an electrical circuit, while an ignition coil supplies the spark-plug circuit. Identify the fault and component first; these parts are not substitutes for one another.
Model and application differencesST1300A ABS repair checkpoints
Front brake pads
2003–2007 listed application
The featured sintered pads have a specific ST1300A window. Match the front caliper and confirm how many pads the package supplies.
Clutch plates
2003–2013 Plate A application
An individual plate can have longer coverage than the brake parts. Check plate identity and stack position before choosing quantities.
Clutch-lever switch
2003–2008 listed application
The switch reports lever position to an electrical circuit. It does not repair hydraulic clutch leakage or worn clutch plates.
Identify the bike and fitted componentsST1300A ABS identification checklist
- Use the full ST1300A designation from the identification label and the year documented for the correct market.
- Compare the existing front pad and caliper, rather than selecting solely because the motorcycle has ABS.
- For a switch, compare connector, mounting, actuator contact and the lever perch, particularly after a control conversion.
