About the Honda VF700
Clutch, brake and fork repair guidance for the VF700, with model and year checks for every linked part.
The VF700 name covers three distinct motorcycles in this parts selection: VF700C Magna, VF700F Interceptor and VF700S Sabre. Each has its own collection so you can move from the family name to the parts relevant to your bike. For a brake or suspension repair, start with that full model designation; for clutch work, also keep the engine identification with your parts record.
Choose the model, then build the repair order
Rear brakes show why the suffix matters. The Magna and Sabre examples below use rear shoe product pages, while the Interceptor example is a rear master-cylinder rebuild kit. Magna rear shoes also change between the 1984 and 1985–1987 fitments. Some clutch hydraulic parts span all three models, but that shared fitment does not carry over to every clutch plate, brake or fork seal.

Prepare for the repairIdentify your VF700 and the fitted part
Check the model code and year
Confirm the complete model code and year from the motorcycle’s identification label or registration. Do not drop the VF700C, VF700F, VF700S and VF700 suffixes when you check fitment.
Match the part already fitted
Compare the original part with the product photos and specifications. Check markings, dimensions, mounting points, left/right or front/rear position, and the quantity supplied.
