Honda XL250S parts for repair and restoration
The 1978–1981 XL250S has its own model designation within the XL250 trail-bike family. A shared fork seal with other versions does not erase the year and carburetor differences that matter during a repair.
Service the carburetor
The carburetor rebuild kit covers 1978–1981 XL250S. Check the carburetor installed on the bike before selecting its service kit.
Fix a fork leak
This set of two fork oil seals fits 1978–1981 XL250S and measures 35 × 48 × 10.5/11 mm. Inspect the fork tubes for scoring.
Reseal the clutch cover
The individual clutch-cover gasket covers 1978–1981 XL250S. Clean the mating surfaces and compare the cover outline during assembly.
Choosing parts for your XL250S
Choose the S application. The three parts each list 1978–1981 XL250S. An earlier XL250 or later R can share a service part, but the model code on a carburetor or cover repair remains decisive.
Distinguish one gasket from a kit. The clutch-cover gasket is a single sealing part; the carburetor item is a repair kit. Order for the actual job rather than assuming either item covers nearby components.

For trail-oriented bar changes, browse universal bars and grips or mirror adaptors. Check clamp fit, brake cable movement and clearance with the steering at both stops.
