Honda XL600R parts for repair and restoration
Plan carburetor work by side, and keep oil seals separate from dust seals.
Honda XL600R is an RFVC single-cylinder model. The carburetor rebuild kit covers the left side and services one carburetor; the engine gasket set covers 1983–1987. The fork oil seals cover XL600R 1982–1987, so check each part’s year range separately.
See the Honda XL600 family guide for related model guidance.
Identify side and assembly
Record the model year, market, engine markings and carburetor orientation. If the forks or fuel system have been changed, verify the replacement assembly rather than relying on decals.

Left carburetor service
This kit services one carburetor on the left side. Choose one kit for each carburetor being rebuilt and confirm the right-side application separately.
Fork oil seal versus dust seal
The oil seal retains fork oil at the sliding tube; the dust seal helps keep dirt out. They are different parts, so choose the seal required for your service.
Frame, year and fitted equipmentIdentification checklist
Confirm XL600R, year and market from the frame and documents. Mark the left and right carburetors before disassembly, and measure the installed fork seals if the front end has been replaced.
- Record the year, market and engine identifiers.
- Mark each carburetor position before removing parts.
- Check oil-seal dimensions and dust-seal fitment independently.
