About the Honda XR650R
Build a fuel-system, clutch or rear-brake order for the liquid-cooled XR650R.
Introduced for 2000, the XR650R paired a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with an aluminum frame and a 46 mm conventional fork. Those features distinguish it from the air-cooled L and provide useful identification points on a motorcycle with modified bodywork or equipment.
Choose the rebuild kit, float and clutch plates separately
Carburetor repair may call for a rebuild kit, a replacement float or both, depending on the condition of the fitted components and what the kit supplies. Here, the kit lists 2000–2006 and the separate float with pin lists 2000–2007. Compare the pieces before ordering rather than treating one product as a complete fuel-system overhaul.
The clutch plate and steel plate also have different end years and are sold individually. The repair links below keep those ranges and quantities visible. To compare model identity or shared service parts, visit the XR650 family guide; for the air-cooled motorcycle, choose XR650L parts.

Carburetor service
Kit through 2006; float through 2007
The rebuild kit lists 2000–2006. The separate float with pin lists 2000–2007. Check each component and the actual carburetor instead of treating either range as coverage for all fuel-system parts.
Clutch service
Separate plate types and quantities
The clutch plate lists 2000–2007; the steel plate lists 2000–2005. Both are sold individually. The correct stack can require different plate types and quantities.
Prepare for the repairIdentify your XR650R components
- Verify the complete R-model designation and model year from the motorcycle’s identification and documentation.
- Read the carburetor marking and compare the original float, gasket shape and service pieces before selecting a kit.
- Identify the fitted fork and rear caliper. For clutch work, check plate type, tab pattern, thickness and stack order.
