About the Honda XR80R

Carburetor, engine, clutch, brake and fuel-system repair guidance for the XR80R, with model and year checks for every linked part.

The XR80R’s air-cooled single-cylinder engine and mechanically operated clutch make engine, carburetor and clutch work distinct jobs in a trail-bike service plan. Start with the fitted carburetor when choosing a rebuild kit: the examples here split into 1985–1986 and 1987–1999 fitments. A replacement carburetor must be identified separately from the bike’s frame year.
