About the Kawasaki H1 Mach III
Carburetor, engine-sealing and chassis parts for Kawasaki’s classic 500 triple.
Introduced in 1969, the H1 Mach III is Kawasaki’s 500-class two-stroke triple. A useful restoration plan separates carburetor work, engine sealing and running gear. Start with the motorcycle’s year, then identify the carburetors, forks and brake fitted to it. A replacement front end can change which seals and pads are needed.
Early clutch plates, later forks and the KH500 connection
The steel-plate applications split at 1972: one product covers H1 1969–1971 and the other 1972–1975. The featured fork seals cover 1972–1975. Selected products also name the 1976 KH500, but that overlap belongs to the individual part. Keep the full model and year on your repair list.

Frame, engine and component markingsKawasaki H1 Mach III identification
- Match the full frame marking to original-market documentation; a registration date alone may not identify the model year.
- Record the engine number separately and photograph carburetor markings.
- Identify the front brake assembly and fork seals already fitted; do not date the motorcycle from those parts.
- For a KH500-marked motorcycle, use a product application that explicitly includes KH500.
