Kawasaki KL250D/KLR250 repair parts by year
Kawasaki’s Owner Center identifies D-series KLR250 models with KL250D codes such as D2 (1985), D3 (1986) and D11 (1994). Carburetor, fuel-tap and rear-brake parts each have their own application years.
KL250D carburetor rebuild kit, 1986–1987
Fuel-tap gasket for KL250D, 1985–2000
KL250D rear brake shoes, 1984–2005
Match KL250D parts to the year and assembly
Use the D-series code: Kawasaki identifies the 1985 model as KL250-D2 and the 1986 model as KL250-D3; later motorcycles use other D suffixes. Check the model label and year on your bike.
Keep each repair’s year range separate: The carburetor kit covers 1986–1987, the fuel-tap gasket 1985–2000 and rear shoes 1984–2005. A broad range for one part does not set the range for another.
Check installed components: If the carburetor, fuel tap or rear hub has been changed, compare its markings and dimensions with the motorcycle before choosing a replacement.

Kawasaki Owner Center: KL250-D2 (1985), KL250-D3 (1986) and KL250-D11 (1994).
Building a custom KL250D?
For a changed cockpit, compare universal handlebars and grips with mirrors and adaptors. Check clamp diameter, mirror mounts, cable reach and steering clearance on your KL250D; some universal parts may need modification.
