About the Kawasaki KSF250 Mojave
Rear brakes, fuel leaks and water-pump sealing for the Mojave 250 quad.
The Mojave 250 uses the KSF250 model designation in Kawasaki’s ATV catalogue. Rear-brake wear, a leaking fuel tap and a carburetor bowl leak call for different parts, even when they occur on the same quad. Identify the assembly first, then use the model code and year to choose the repair product.
Four Mojave repairs with four application ranges
Rear pads are listed for 1987–2004, the petcock kit for 1987–1997, the bowl gasket for 1987–1993 and the water-pump mechanical seal for 1987–1990. The repair cards keep those ranges beside the parts they describe.
Model and year checksKawasaki KSF250 Mojave repair checkpoints
Each repair part has its own model, year and package details. Start with the checks that apply to your job.
Two different sealing jobs
Fuel tap or carburetor?
A petcock kit repairs the tank’s fuel tap. A bowl gasket seals the carburetor joint; it does not replace the float needle.
1987–2004 pad application
Rear disc-brake service
Match the rear caliper and backing-plate shape, then check the supplied quantity. Inspect the retaining hardware during the same service.
1987–1990 mechanical-seal application
Water-pump seal
Inspect the water-pump shaft and mating surfaces. Identify the mechanical seal separately from any other shaft seals required for the repair.
Frame, engine and component markingsKawasaki KSF250 Mojave identification
- Match KSF250 and the full model code to the quad’s documentation.
- Identify the installed carburetor and photograph the float-bowl joint.
- Check the fuel tap itself before buying its repair kit.
- Record the caliper position and water-pump assembly separately; shared displacement is not fitment evidence.
