About the Kawasaki KZ900A
Service parts for the standard KZ900, with the important year differences explained.
Kawasaki identifies the 1976 standard as KZ900-A4; PartsNMore groups A-series applications under KZ900A. The 903cc four-cylinder DOHC engine and four-carburetor layout explain many of the service parts in this collection. For restoration work, keep the A designation alongside the year, particularly when comparing the standard motorcycle with an LTD.
Plan the gasket order around the repair
For a top-cover repair, the KZ900A valve cover gasket covers 1976–1977. The broader engine gasket set covers 1976 only. Identify which joints will be opened and compare the supplied contents with that work before choosing a set.
